# Recovering A Lost Buoy

## Tracking your Smart Buoy

If you suspect your smart buoy may have drifted away or has been stolen, you can [contact our support team](/overview/contact-us.md) to help you out. We can help you track your buoy's last known location.

## Recovery Tips

1. Check the last reported location.
2. If your buoy shows to be on land, you must lawfully retrieve it.
